Dr. Laura Sue Armeni was Director of the Risk Management, European Affairs and Policy Department at the Malta Transport Authority, where she coordinated activities related to sustainable mobility, regulatory compliance and strategic projects. She has extensive experience in public administration and consultancy, having held management positions in Maltese ministries and authorities, with responsibilities in management, human resources, public policy and European planning.
She is an occupational and organisational psychologist (Warrant No. MPPB 241) and Gestalt psychotherapist (Warrant No. PPBM 318), with active private practice since 2017. She combines her professional career with an intensive academic activity as a visiting lecturer at local and international institutes, covering topics such as change management, leadership, organisational behaviour and risk management.
She holds two master’s degrees: in Gestalt Psychotherapy and in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. She is also trained in EMDR, project management (PRINCE2), quality management (ISO 9001) and management systems auditing.
She has been a member of advisory and steering committees in the fields of psychology and business. She is fluent in Maltese, English, Italian and French. Also active in voluntary work, she offers psychological support services to non-profit organisations.
