TERMS FOR COURSES

The training courses promoted on this website are organized by MACTT Educational Group LTD – 69, The Penthouse, Carolina Court, Triq Giuseppe Calì, Ta’Xbiex, XBX1425 –  MALTA – VAT MT18927427, In letters MACTT. Purchases made for training activities for a fee must be paid to the MACTT through the means of payment indicated in the “Store” or “Courses” or “Shop” section.

The MACTT will issue a tax receipt for the money paid for the purchase of the course. The use of proper voucher or coupon entitles you to a discount , which will be recognized only by purchasing online.

All courses promoted on this website must be booked in advance if provided for in the single course sheet.

Prices shown are reported only at the cost of the course, so I’m excluding the costs of transport, accommodation and meals. If the course includes the board , it will be stated in the information of the course. Teaching Course includes instruction , course material , the use of any software, computer hardware and other technical assistance required for the course.

Course participants can withdraw on schedule in the information sheets . If the withdrawal occurs after the deadline , there is no refund. The withdrawal from the course will not be entitled to any refund . The price paid may be used by the participant to attend another course.

Participants who want to take their course or exam must do so within 12 months from the date of the original course and will not be charged for their resumption . If a participant fails an exam and then two repetitions, the participant must rifrequentare the course before taking the exam.

All information related to the booking of the course & accommodation, including flight details (flight number and time of arrival/departure), is to be received by MACTT  not later than 3 days prior to arrival.

Substitutions allowed

We welcome the inclusion of a qualified substitute in place of a writing, provided that the customer notifies us in writing before the first day of the course. 100% of any prepaid course tuition fee of the course will be counted in the course of his replacement. Training certificates are not transferable and therefore are not eligible for replacement.

The details of the transfer will be specified in the single course form.

Flexible transfer/Cancellation

Our transfer policy / Flexible cancellation allows participants to register in advance with confidence. We do not impose any penalty for cancellations of registrations or transfers to another course. We ask our customers to notify us at least three weeks before the course starts course attendance in the program. If a customer transfers to another course before the course, which initially enrolled, 100% of any prepaid course tuition will be applied toward the straight course for the next course. If a customer needs to cancel your subscription prior to the start of the class, we will refund 100% of any prepaid course tuition for such registration if the request comes before the date in the information of the course. Training voucher and voucher / coupon can not be used after the expiry date, and the cancellation of the course.

Payment of fee

Fees less the deposit must be paid in full by bank transfer or by Electronic money online before arrival. The payment link for credit card payments online will be provided at the time of booking and will be sent to you via e-mail.

For payments made by bank transfer, all bank transfer fees must be borne by the student (you). The bank details will be sent via e-mail automatically from the website if this payment method has been chosen.

Fees are quoted in EURO. Payment is to be made in Euro.

MACTT reserves the right to reject a student for tuition and accommodation if s/he fails to settle full payment upon the stipulated day.

After booking the course by paying the deposit or the total price, you will be sent a link to complete the registration form which must be returned with all the necessary information. We will confirm your place on the course and your accommodation by sending you the acceptance letter and invoice.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy will be established for each course and will be indicated on the description sheet. If not indicated, the following rules apply:

  • All cancellations must be made in writing;
  • There are no cancellation fees if the cancellation is received earlier than three weeks prior to arrival.
  • In the case of cancellations made less than three weeks prior to arrival there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the tuition and accommodation fees.

Visas

If you will be applying for a Visa to travel to Malta you are requested to make the deposit or full payment (some Embassies request the full proof of payment) on sending the application form.  We will send you your Letter of acceptance as soon as we receive your deposit. Should you be denied a Visa to travel to Malta we will refund you the full deposit less the bank transfer charges and we will also charge an administration fee. All MACTT prices include registration fees, admin fees and taxes however MACTT.

All information related to the booking of the course & accommodation, including flight details (flight number and time of arrival/departure), is to be received by MACTT  not later than 5 days prior to arrival.

Registration fees, taxes and all other fees are included in the price.

Complaints

In the event of a dispute between an individual student and the School, procedures are in place to facilitate the resolution of the dispute. Any complaint should first be made to the MACTT Principal. Each complaint will be fully investigated. If the matter is not resolved, the student should complain in writing within the duration of the course, while the course is still in progress. MACTT cannot be held liable for any complaint received after the student’s departure.

Public Holidays

Lessons missed on public holidays which fall on weekdays will not be recovered on other days. Public holidays in Malta: 1st January, 10th February, 19th March, 31st March, 10th April, 1st May, 7th June, 29th June, 15th August, 8th September, 21st September, 8th December, 13th December, 25th December.

Class level and tests

In particular for English courses all new students are required to take a GSE placement test. This may be taken online prior to arrival and will save you time on the first day as you will be placed in your level immediately, rather than having to do the test on your first day of school. Students will be placed in the appropriate level according to the result of the placement test. Should a result indicate that a student has a lower level of English, the School reserves the right to place the student in a class of a suitable level until a higher level is reached. The student is given the opportunity to discuss this matter with the Director of Studies whose decision will be final.

Students may change their class level if this is agreed by the teacher and the Director of Studies.

For the other courses admission tests may be required which will be specified in the single course sheet.

Lessons Timetable

MACTT uses a double banking system whereby lessons can be held either in the morning or in the afternoon. Morning lessons are held between 9am and 12:15pm, conversation classes as part of the Intensive course are held between 1pm and 2:30pm, and afternoon classes are held between 3pm and 6:15pm. Evening classes are held between 6:30pm and 8pm. MACTT reserves the right to change lesson times and timetables at its discretion.

Photography & Filming

Students may be filmed and photographed during classes and activities and photos and videos can be published on the school’s social media sites. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed please inform the person taking the film/photo.

Accomodation for the disabled

We are committed to assist the course participants with disabilities. Upon written request of the employer of a participant, at least two weeks before the course, we will provide a participant who is activated for an additional seat in the classroom and an additional set of teaching materials for an auxiliary and / or a copy of course notes in computer-readable format at no additional cost. The employer of the participant is responsible for all other costs necessary accommodations, including auxiliary aides. Please call our office at least two weeks before the course, so that Learning Tree can arrange auxiliary aides and bill the employer for the expenses of the participant.

Security

The customer agrees that all course participants will abide by security measures in effect at the course location.

Course Postponements

At times, we must change a course location, course date or postpone a course. We will try to give the customer as much advance notice as possible of any such change. If the customer is unable to attend a course at the revised location or date, we will credit 100% of any prepaid course tuition fees paid against a future course or, if requested, refund those fees. However, we will not be liable for any other costs incurred, including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages, even if we were advised of them.

Copyright/Intellectual Property

All copyrights, patents, designs and other intellectual property rights in or relating to any course materials provided or made available in connection with our courses remain the sole property of MACTT Educational Group Ltd. No part of any course materials may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, or translated into any language without the prior written permission of MACTT Educational Group Ltd.
