LIFENAT project officially launched with partners from Malta and Portugal to promote outdoor learning, inclusion and sustainability in early childhood education through training, tools and collaborative activities.
The European project LIFENAT – Little Footsteps IN NATure has been officially launched under the Erasmus+ KA210-SCH programme, with the aim of innovating early childhood education through outdoor, inclusive and sustainability-oriented learning methodologies.
The partnership, composed of MACTT Educational Group Ltd (Malta) as coordinator, St. Edward’s College (Malta) and Agrupamento de Escolas D. Dinis (Portugal), initiated the project activities through an initial coordination meeting, aimed at defining the operational plan, responsibilities and methods of collaboration.
During the meeting, the partners shared the common vision of the project, which aims to:
- strengthen the skills of educators in the use of outdoor learning;
- promote well-being and inclusion in educational contexts;
- Develop practical and accessible resources for early childhood education.
Particular attention was paid to the planning of the initial activities, including the analysis of needs and the collection of good practices, fundamental elements for the subsequent design of the training program and the educational toolkit.
The 24-month project will involve educators, children and families in Malta and Portugal, helping to create a more inclusive, experiential and sustainable educational model.
